The Uplift Our Local Community Committee made profound impacts this year through initiatives that address critical health, education, and family needs. They promoted heart health with their Pink Goes Red event and raised awareness for breast cancer through participation in the Sista Strut. The committee also supported students in need by contributing to the Build A Bed program, ensuring children have a safe place to sleep. Additionally, they assisted in donating Thanksgiving baskets to local families and collected baby items for the public school Teen Parent Program, providing essential support for young families in the community.
